Ambika has been intensively studying, performing, and playing in the movement world for over 35 years. Her studies began in dance, and her appreciation for yoga and learning how to share it with others began after the birth of her first daughter. Ambika has been teaching yoga since 2008 and became a certified physical therapist assistant in 2015. These two jobs are natural partners and have given her the experience to help students find a way to use and improve their bodies in a healthy, restorative, and joyful way. Her class is influenced by many styles of yoga and blends together the mindfulness of traditional yoga with the playfulness of vinyasa or flow yoga.
“My class strives to challenge all levels of practitioners with flowing movement with a strong focus on alignment. At the same time, creating a sanctuary for you to get in touch with your body and breath, leaving class feeling balanced and inspired to enjoy your life and all that it brings.”
